Alright guys and gals, I have gotten some great responses to my
recruitment email, thank you. Outerz0ne is on March 6-7, this gives
us about 5 weeks to complete this project. I would like to get a
complete design knocked out of the way by Saturday evening. Can
some/all of you be around the shop Saturday afternoon?

Here are some requirements that have come up. Please leave your
comments any and all input is welcome.

Software
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a list of software requirements I think we need to fulfill
1. Modes
 a. Photobooth mode - take 4 pictures save then as a strip.
 b. Video mode - take video 12-15sec
 c. Mystery Mode
2. Linux Based
3. Use version control system, preferable the svn server at the shop.
4. Highest resolution/fast as possible.

Hardware
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The goal of the original design was something that would fit in the
backseat of the average car and could be setup anywhere. The Mark I
failed at this but only slightly. Here are the requirements figured
out from Mark I:

1. Distance between the users face and camera has to be a minimum of
36", no less. This is so the camera is capable of seeing all of the
seat area. That being said, much more and the camera sees too much.
This distance is more or less the entrance to the booth for what it's
worth.
 2. ~38"-40" width on the seat. This is to accomidate two people
sitting side by side comfortably.
 3. The whole booth must be no less than 72". This is standard among
most all commercial photobooths.

Software Design Comments
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Video Stream type of system, this would make for easier expansion of
capabilities later.
* Modular code again for expansion of capabilities later.

Hardware Design Comments
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things that can be tweaked from the original design to make it match
the original goals:

    * Seat depth needs to be shrunk to no more than 16". This allows
it to fit through the average car backdoor.
    * Height of the seat could stand to be shrunk by an inch or two.
    * Lighter build material.
o Pine project board (comes in sheets but is limited in
size, not as a large as plywood sheets.)
          o Fiberglass
    * Stability tweaks.
          o Addition of a floor
o Additional fasteners holding it all together.
    * Tower there the computer is, could be collapsible.

Thanks
Nathan
