If you don't care about donation receipts, just give John Kelley the money and that will be the end of it.

If you want your donation recorded for tax deductible purposes, please put a donation in the donation box and let me know what it was for.  

I will ear mark the amount and when John Kelley applies for reimbursement, I will have a check cut for him out of the Maker's Local bank account.  John will only be able to write off on his personal taxes the difference, which will be reflected on his donation receipt.  

If for some reason the project gets cancelled, I will contact each person who donated to the earmarked fund and offer to reimburse them their donation.
