DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL ON OPTICS.

Propylnol can destroy the anti-reflective coatings and other treatments.
Methanol (wood alcohol) should be used instead. Clear vinegar is acceptable
for use on the ZnSe optics in CO2 laser systems.
