Thanks for the heads up on this! :)

On Wed, Nov 4, 2009 at 1:49 PM, Steve Conklin <steve@conklinhouse.com> wrote:
Dave Freese W1HKJ do at the Huntsville Amateur Radio Club meeting on Friday:

At the HARC meeting on November 6th, Dave Freese W1HKJ
(http://www.w1hkj.com/) and Steve Conklin AI4QR will
be demonstrating the fldigi digital mode software
application, along with some related applications
that can be used to support error-free transmission
of binary files in an Emergency Communications (EMCOMM)
setting.

Dave is very knowledgeable about the benefits and drawbacks
of various digital modes, and which modes are appropriate
for different band conditions and uses. This should be an
interesting presentation for people with all levels of interest
in digital sound card modes.

This is a condensed reprise of the presentation that was made at
Huntsville Hamfest this year.

fldigi is a great multi-mode program used for sound card digital
modes. It runs on windows, Mac, and linux and is a great digital
mode application. http://www.w1hkj.com/Fldigi.html

For information about some of the EMCOMM uses and additional
applications, here's a web page by Dave:

Dave has also prepared this really great web page showing what
various digital modes sound like and look like on the display,
with detailed information about the modes:
The Huntsville Amateur Radio Club (HARC) meets every Friday
evening at 7:30 at the American Red Cross chapter house,
