Cool. Thanks. Jimshoe and I were discussing ways to augment the heating in this building using ceiling mount units. Either electrical or fuel heaters. Something to think about for next year if we have the budget.

We use a space heater run off of kerosene for rapid heat at the HC, and kind of let the space run as it will. We don't have freezing issues due to the volume of the building, and $20 worth of kerosene will do a lot for a lot of time. So much volume the pipes don't freeze, and they are insulated. The kerosene heater is a construction type heater, and I think was $100. Need to bounce off of SkyDog for that.
The way we run is to forget about heat, or the cost, and space heat as necessary when we are there. If I'm there, and want comfort, I can get $20 kerosene, and heat the area I want for about 2 days. If a blowout, we fire up the all the space heaters, oil burner, the whole shebang.
It's worked well for us, your mileage may vary.
