Web,<div><br></div><div>Usually if the devices hang, it is a power issue. But it's not necessarily the power supply at fault; the Pi can only supply 100mA to each of its USB ports. If you want to run any sort of high-ish power USB device, you'll want to run it through a powered USB hub. Another symptom of USB power issues is repeated/missed keystrokes on a connected keyboard.</div>

I am still having problems with the USB on the pi. Right now I have a<br>
GPS attached that stops working after about 1 day. I was trying to<br>
turn one of the pi's into an accesspoint about two months ago and I<br>

and it looks like the GPS is offline. Do these things drop USB<br>
devices like this? I am using archlinux ARM if it matters.<br>

My next step I suppose it to try a better PSU. Am I correct that I<br>
want it to be switching? In the end I would like to build sealed<br>
devices and such that I can power with POE (access point) but I cannot<br>
move forward if I cannot get a simple low power GPS to work.<br>
