<p dir="ltr">Be aware that your new laptop almost certainly boots using UEFI, which is different from the legacy BIOS method. Mint appears to be set up to handle UEFI, but I would read about it first.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Have you considered using virtualization? VMware or virtualbox will save you from the headaches of dual booting.</p>
