I own one and like it fine. The vx-3r is a little cheaper and also cover that band, again for rx only.</div><div id="AppleMailSignature"><br></div><div id="AppleMailSignature">Legally you cannot transmit in that range as the ham band stops at 29mhz and and the next one picks up at 50mhz.
