<br>When: Saturday, May 1, 2010 8:00 AM<br><br>Where:<br>Makers Local 256<br>203 Brown St. <br>Huntsville, AL 35805 <br>256-513-4667<br><br><a href="http://arrrborday.org/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;"><u>Arrrbor Day</u></span></a> is in celebration of the only known planet to host pirates in any shape or form. Held on the last Friday of April around the world both in practice and in the hearts of all pirates and would-be pirates. We will celebrate by holding an Arrrbor Day planting all day long (8am to 5pm) Saturday, May 1st. We will be: <br>
<ul><br><li>Hoisting sails in Earth's majestic trees, effectively turning her into a ship worthy of sailing the galactic seas.<br></li><li>Planting trees for future pirate generations. How else are they going to make their ships?<br>
</li><li>Deploying seed bombs on fallow ground. <br></li><li>Raising your personal jolly roger so that other pirates may recognize you. <br></li></ul><br>Get ready by dressing like a pirate, making <a href="http://www.guerrillagardening.org/ggseedbombs.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;"><u>seed bombs</u></span></a> and preparing your <a href="http://www.arborday.org/shopping/trees/trees.cfm" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;"><u>saplings</u></span></a> for planting. Hurry, the deadline to order trees is April 16, 2010. Expect them to arrive before April 30, 2010. <br>
<br>Please help the project by providing planting space, plants (local species only) and/or ye strong-backed crew.<br><br>This celebration will be in collaboration with <a href="http://www.arborday.org/index.cfm" target="_blank">Arbor Day Foundation</a> and <a href="http://256.makerslocal.org/" target="_blank">Makers Local 256</a>. <br>
