I ran the freeze test for the camera this afternoon:

Uninsulated camera
Display turned off manually
Flash turned off manually
Script to take a snap every 10 seconds.

Interesting results:

The test ran for slightly over 2.5 hours. [12:24 to 3:02, to be precise]
When I checked, the camera had turned itself off.
On checking after a few minutes after taking it out, it still indicated that about 25% of batt life was still available.
The card was not full either.

This leads me to believe that the camera shut down because of either cold or moisture or both.
Nonetheless, it ran for 2.5 hours in those conditions. Will we have a sustained cold and moist phase for that long on a (hopefully) clear day? If the camera can escape shutting down, we could possibly run for almost 3.5 hours.

In any case, assuming the lens does not fog up, I think 2.5 hours is still good enough to beat our worst case scenario estimates.

And this reminds me, I've been using my 4gig sd card for testing. Do we have a SD card on hand or do we need to buy one? (I'd like to keep mine to take pics of the launch itself.)
Hello,

To prepare for the Hartselle launch and the potential water landing in Centre, AL's lakes, we will need to add water proofing and water recovery (e.g. boat, life vests, paddles) to our flight readiness checklist. Last night, I developed a full flight readiness list along with our current status and a pre-flight checklist. I will post them to the wiki tonight.
