Also HuntFast (www.huntfast.com/) will order anything if they don't have it in stock. I used them for the metric stuff for the reprap (Bolts Threaded rod, hex caps, etc.
(I'm also gonna 'third' Lewters - it's a nice place to visit). Also, I got a tap from Home Depot (though it was standard, not metric).

You may want to give Lewter's Hardware downtown a try. Last time I was in there, their inventory was a lot like you listed.
