[General] EV and Solar Demonstration Event Monday July 16

Sorry for the SPAM but I just wanted to announce this event coming up this
Monday July 16th.
Have you noticed the solar panels on the corner of Airport Road and the
parkway next to the Waffle House?
That is the Redstone Energy Group's solar power demonstration lot they use
to show business owners, mayors, and other officials exactly how much money
they could save on a home or business's power bill every month.  They have
meters hooked to everything to show exactly how much power each type of
panel makes so they can get the exact figures on how quickly they would pay
off.
There are several kinds of panels there from the kind that track the sun as
it moves during the day, to simple, thin film panels you can put on a
house, to a solar canopy to put in parking lots.
To attract electric vehicle customers they can even install a charging
station under this canopy.  Which is the other part of Monday's event.
 There will be several makes and models of electric cars out there giving
out test rides and even some test drives!  There will be one or more of
each Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiEV, and the super sporty and
fast Fisker Karma and a Tesla Roadster!
So if you are interested in learning more about solar power, driving on
electricity made from the sun, or both, drop by this Monday out at the
solar panels to experience it all.
There will be two main time slots for everyone to take advantage of:
11am - 1 pm on your lunch break and 5-7pm after work.
