[General] Help putting in Ubuntu

Will anyone be at the shop tuesday evening who can help me install Ubuntu
on my laptop? I know it's supposed to be pretty easy to work with, but I
did it myself and it's not working properly. (Programs install weird and I
can only use the internet for 2-30 minutes before it freezes on regular
sites, nothing particularly demanding.)

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me a hand. This should be
pretty simple for someone who's done it before.
