[ML-General] Experience with DraftSight Free edition?

Has anyone used DraftSight before? It's by the same company that does
SolidWorks so I assume that it's a solid product and there's a free edition
that's limited to 2D. I'm wondering if this might be an easier tool than
Inkscape for making designs to be lasercut?
