[ML-General] advice sought on SSD's

Thanks, Hunter. That sounds like good advice.

New question, though. I have read of some concerns about booting on the
SSD's. Is this truly an issue? Can't I just use gparted or equivalent
to copy my hard disk stuff onto the SSD with a tool that handles
automagic partitioning and let 'er rip? Or am i missing something? If
I could make the current boot disk "read-only" I would while doing these
tests.

I got dazzled by the prospect of nearly instant booting...

David
