It would be interesting to see what kind of heat gain could be picked up from solar radiation.

Hmm,

       Looks interesting.  We could use water as the working fluid and dump
the heat into an old insulated water heater.  This would then make it viable
as a solar water heater as well as a building heater.  The only issue is to
heat our building (~25000 ft^3, from 50'x50'x10') overnight when we are
using it will require a sizable amount of water to store heat in or a lesser
amount of water at a high temperature.  Will need to look at the
thermodynamics of it to determine those sizes as well as at what insulation
values and temperature ranges can it be feasible.
