I am confused about your last comment. Why does it being being FM instead
of PM pose a problem? The radios are useful as they are. Just drop a new
$0.50 rock in for the frequency that you want.

These are great radios for hacking. When I said "repeater work" I meant
using them. Not building them. Although these radios can be used for that
as they are. E.g. packet node, APRS, APRS INode, Portable emergency
repeater, acquire data and control some remote sensor and more. Just be
creative.

As I see it the first order of business is to get the shop on the air. If
those better radios work, we have everything that we need for a 2m station.
I left some coax at the shop, we can build an antenna and if they are 12v
powered radios, we have a power supply.

Jeff,

I have an antenna analyser that works on 2m. There should be material
around the shop for the antenna. It's been over a year. It would be nice to
get the shop lit up fill time.
