Hello,

      I've just received some media requests from
ISDC<http://isdc.nss.org/2011/>.
They are assembling a a Conference press kit and would like some information
on Makers Local 256.  I am planning to submit our
brochure<https://256.makerslocal.org/wiki/images/6/60/ML256_brochure_final.pdf>.
However, it needs updating for our upcoming shop move.  Can someone please
provide?
      Also, ISDC is asking us if there are any members of the media we would
like to invite to the conference.  All we need to provide are names and
e-mails.  Media must also register for the
conference<https://www.nss.org/cgi-bin/register/tdregister?$Origin=ISDC11-Media>for
media credentials.  Any takers want to be invited by Makers Local 256?

To All Sponors, Speakers, Awardees, and Invited Guests –

 Hello, my name is Debbie Cohen. I am the Director of Media Relations
for ISDC 2011. I’m a new member of the National Space Society (just
joined in February) and am incredibly excited that you will be joining
us at this year’s Conference.

 The biggest part of my job is making sure that the Conference as a
whole, but more particularly, each of you, gets the best and most
favorable coverage we can manage to wrangle out of that species of
folk known as “The Press”.

 In that regard, there are a few things with which you can help me:

 1) If you have any information that you would like put in the
Conference press kit as an insert, please provide an electronic copy
to me. It should be no larger than 8.5 x 11 and either in .jpg or .pdf
format. If you have any questions about this you should contact me
directly.

 2) Please let me know as soon as possible if there are specific
members of the media you wish me to invite to this year’s event. If
there is a media person with whom you have a particularly good working
relationship, we want them here. At a minimum, names and emails will
suffice; however, if you have complete contact information, please
send it right away.

 Please note that, while all sessions of the Conference are open to
registered media, all media personnel MUST be REGISTERED. We will
issue media credentials only to those representatives who can
demonstrate a real interest in the Conference with an anticipated
outcome favorable to the mission statements of NSS, HAL5, and the
individual participants/topics being covered. Media personnel desiring
to receive credentials may use the Media Credentials Request link
found on the Home Page of the ISDC web site: isdc.nss.org/2011

 3) If you wish to conduct any media events on your own behalf at the
Conference, we ask that you please coordinate all such activities with
me. We will have a “Media Room” available for interviews and, if
necessary, can make arrangements for a variety of press events –
from a small gathering to a full-blown press conference.

 4) If you are a guest speaker, or if you are a guest at a track
session or workshop, please plan on providing a copy to me of any
papers or presentations that you will be using during your session. We
will make these available to registered members of the media covering
the Conference. Any other information that you wish to provide about
yourself, your work or your company is also welcome.

 5) If, for any reason, you desire to make a press statement or issue
a press release during the Conference, we ask, again, that you
coordinate such activity through me. As we will maintain all of the
contact information on the registered press, it will be the most
efficient way to ensure that all media covering the Conference are
aware of your event.

 Most importantly, we are here to make YOU look good. Please don’t
