[General] Gardeners of Makers Local 256 - Community Orchard Is Opening Up Down The Street!

Hey guys!

      A couple friends of mine are applying for a grant for a fruit tree
orchard for local community food provision in Huntsville, AL. This is
actually going to be sited right down the street from the Make Shop!  Check
it out and give them a hand by voting for the project at: http://

This project is done in partnership with the Food Bank of North Alabama,
The North Alabama Food Policy Council, Manna House, CASA and other food
providers. If they win, the orchard project will provide seasonal fresh
fruit for individuals and families served by the partner organizations. It
will be located on several vacant lots owned by the City on Ward Street
near the Dallas St. Intersection.
