Went yesterday. The tldr version is LabVIEW home is a full featured
professional (I think? It's the lower of the 2 varients that doesn't have
graphical diff built in) version for $50 with the only restrictions being
noncommercial/educational usage and a home version watermark on the code
and frontpanel. Windows only, but they're considering Linux (with enough
feedback/requests).

Also pimped: labview makerhub, drivers to control an arduino, chipkit, and
i think launchpad, and they partnered with sparkfun and digilent to create
combopacks with labview home + one of the aforementioned devboards +
optional sensors.
